The Medical Assistant - Administrative is responsible for managing the administrative tasks of a healthcare office to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional patient service. This role supports healthcare providers by handling scheduling of internal and external providers, maintaining patient records updates, processing billings of external providers, receiving notes and supports for the patients files and coordinating office communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties
Patient Interaction:
Greet patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner.
Answer phone calls and respond to emails, scheduling appointments as needed.
Scheduling and Coordination:
Schedule patient appointments of internal and external providers, tests, and follow-up visits.
Send appointment reminders and coordinate rescheduling when necessary.
Record Maintenance:
Accurately maintain and update patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Ensure all outside providers send the notes on the medical care they provide.
Patient Communication
Provide information about office policies, services, and procedures.
Assist patients with completing forms and obtaining necessary documentation.
Help address patient concerns or route them to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
Experience
English Intermedia- Writing and Speaking.
Familiarity with EHR systems, medical terminology.
Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency in computer systems and office software
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
Frequent interaction with patients, medical professionals, and administrative staff.

- RD$27.00 Mensual
