Financial Reporting Analyst

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OR PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Financial Reporting Analyst will prepare accounting and analysis activities to support Business Unit Finance, SG&A (Selling general and administrative) Finance, and FP&A (Financial planning and analysis).

Responsibilities:
Perform month-end close tasks to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Produce and analyze weekly and monthly key metrics.
Prepare financial forecasts and annual budgets.
Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles, internal controls (SOX), or other financial reporting standards.
Conduct or support various business initiatives and projects including pricing, bids, sales exceptions, commission adjustments, testing, and other analytical work.
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
English Proficiency.
Five years or more of related experience is required.
Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and present results
Proficient in accounting and financial analysis software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
